The answer starts from facts: in January 2026 PUOK was crowned "Best Sandwich Shop in Italy" at the Bar Giornale Awards, a prize awarded to the best Italian sandwich shop based on the quality of raw materials, innovation and attention to communication. This recognition transformed PUOK from a local phenomenon into a national reference point for street food. Beyond awards, PUOK's reputation as Naples' best sandwich stems from a blend of reinterpreted tradition, uncompromising quality, engaging storytelling and a unique brand identity. Iconic recipes and entrepreneurial success make PUOK a must try for anyone who wants to taste the most creative side of Neapolitan cuisine.

PUOK stands out because it's an authentic project born from Egidio Cerrone's passion for food and storytelling. At PUOK, the product is cared for in every detail, the ingredients are of excellent quality and there's a continuous search for new recipes, carried out in the centralized experimental lab, which constantly launches new sandwiches as if they were hit singles.

PUOK isn't a traditional restaurant but a takeaway sandwich shop. It's authentic Neapolitan street food that reinterprets iconic dishes from Neapolitan cuisine between two slices of bread.

Some of our creations inspired by tradition are:
- GENOVESE ASTROSPAZIALE: a sandwich style reinterpretation of Genoese sauce. The beef is shredded and dressed with onion sauce; it's topped with mild provolone, fried onions and Genovese style mayonnaise so nothing from the pot goes to waste;
- BRACIOLA SUPERNOVA: second chapter of the space saga. Starting from the Neapolitan braciola (beef slow cooked in ragù), it becomes an explosion of flavor: shredded beef in ragù, salami preserved in oil, raisins and pine nuts, a pecorino wafer and garlic and parsley mayonnaise;
- CACCIATORA INTERSTELLARE: third chapter of the trilogy. It's inspired by chicken alla cacciatora cooked with cherry tomatoes, olives, herbs and chili; the chicken is shredded, the sauce reincorporated and the skin fried and baked. A parsley salsa verde and hunter style mayonnaise complete the sandwich;
- NONNA ASSUNTA: a tribute to Egidio's grandmother's "ruoto di patate", a baked potato dish;
- DEMOGORGON: a reinterpretation of the Neapolitan classic "salsiccia e friarielli" (sausage and broccoli rabe).

In addition to the space trilogy GENOVESE ASTROSPAZIALE, BRACIOLA SUPERNOVA and CACCIATORA INTERSTELLARE - representing a magnificent fusion of tradition and innovation - enthusiasts recommend trying the iconic DJANGO and sandwiches like PORCO VERDE and PIGGY BLINDER. The vegetarian sandwiches in the seasonal MANIA VEG line are also delicious. Also well loved are the more universal flavours like LOS POLLOS (with fried chicken) and SMASHED ONE (a smashed burger with bacon, cheese and secret sauce).

Yes. The menu includes the "Baby PUOK" option, designed for little ones: a menu with a hamburger or nuggets, French fries, a drink and a sweet surprise. The Sant'Antimo location offers indoor and outdoor seating that allows families to eat at ease after collecting their tray.

PUOK's story is closely linked to its founder, Egidio Cerrone. Graduating with honours in Medical Biotechnology, Egidio worked in a lab but was passionate about food stories and ran a blog dedicated to his "culinary adventures". A serious road accident made him realize he had to pursue his happiness: he left his career and devoted himself to the dream of opening a sandwich shop that offered a few extraordinary sandwiches inspired by pop culture and his grandmother's recipes. Today PUOK is a continually growing company, has become a point of reference in Italian food, and was awarded in 2026 as "Best Sandwich Shop in Italy".

No, PUOK does not serve gluten free sandwiches. We would love to satisfy friends who are intolerant, but in our labs and kitchens we don't have the space or technical guarantees required by regulations. For further information on allergens, you can consult the MENUsection of the website.

Our menu always includes at least one vegetarian sandwich, whose recipe varies according to the seasonality of ingredients. At some times of the year there may be more vegetarian sandwiches. Another vegetarian option is to choose the menu sandwiches without meat; they're still delicious. At the moment there are no vegan sandwich recipes available.

For PUOK it is essential to protect the uniqueness of its recipes. For this reason, the sandwiches are not customizable and can only be modified by removing ingredients, without adding any.

PUOK stores are takeaway, so booking isn't required. The Naples locations (Spaccanapoli and Vomero) have no seating, but it is possible to eat the sandwiches by sitting at the bar next door, purchasing drinks or other items there. The Sant'Antimo location does not offer table service but has numerous indoor seats and a large outdoor area where you can sit after collecting your tray.

The sandwich is probably sold out, or at this time of year it is not on the menu.

All malfunctions and issues related to the delivery service (late deliveries, missing products, payments or refunds) do not depend on PUOK but are the exclusive responsibility of Glovo. To resolve any issues, contact Glovo's customer service directly via their app.
